Wonders of Weizmann Gala

A dedicated supporter of The Weizmann Institute of Science, Miel performed at their Wonders of Weizmann Gala dinner at the St Pancras Hotel in March 2012.

A top-ranking global research university, the Weizmann Institute is noted for its explorations into fighting disease and hunger, mathematics and computer science, the physics of matter and the universe, and the development of novel materials and new strategies for protecting the environment. Their achievements are astonishing and include developing groundbreaking encryption technology – laying the foundations for Internet security – and enabling the development of the first drug to treat chronic myelogenous leukaemia.

The event, hosted by the Institute’s President, Prof. Daniel Zajfman, and with special guest speaker Lord Puttnam of Queensgate CBE, raised over £450,000 for the institute.
