Miel Releases a Captivating Animated Music Video for “Forever Man”

Following the intimate lyric videos for “Mon Cher Petit Papa” and “Meine Mutter”, Miel now presents the fantastic animated music video for “Forever Man”,  a powerful statement of love, longing and imagination from her Loved Ones – Volume 1  EP. ❤️

Exploring the Idea of Ideal Love

The song grew out of abundant inspiration, “there was enough material for three songs,” she recalls, but was distilled into one definitive piece. 

To achieve this, Miel called upon her trusted circle of collaborators, each contributing to the melody’s development. The result is a song that weaves together multiple voices and ideas while retaining a singular lyrical vision.

The track also features the London Community Gospel Choir, arranged and conducted by Sam Swallow, bringing a beautiful choral depth to the piece. Enjoy! ❤️

A Collaborative Creation

The lyrics remain entirely Miel’s, but the music reflects a genuine collective effort. At its heart lies a beautiful orchestration and a delicate yet powerful piano performance by Sam Swallow, a long-time creative partner who has orchestrated and arranged across Miel’s albums. Swallow’s contribution adds both emotional depth and continuity, reinforcing the strong bonds at the centre of the Loved Ones project.

To bring the vision to life visually, another “loved one”, Miel’s co-manager Claire Roth connected Miel with acclaimed Turkish filmmaker, animator, composer, musician, producer and visual artist Mertcan Mertbilek. 

His artistry transforms the track into a striking animated narrative, echoing the song’s romantic themes with sensitivity and imagination.

As with the other tracks in Loved Ones – Volume 1, ‘Forever Man’ is rooted in connection, collaboration and memory. Where previous releases have drawn on family ties, this piece reaches outward, imagining love in its purest and most enduring form.

With its combination of heartfelt lyricism, layered melodies and breathtaking animation, “Forever Man” highlights Miel’s ability to blend the deeply personal with the universal.
