‘Loved Ones’ Album Private Pre-launch at London’s Charlotte Street Hotel

In preparation of her new album release, Miel de Botton offered an exclusive first look at 'Loved Ones' during an intimate celebration last month. The private event at the chic Charlotte Street Hotel in London gathered the artist's close friends, family and team members for a multimedia experience showcasing Miel and her team's new body of work. The room had a ‘first-look’ preview of the two music videos (‘Hit Song’ and ‘Immortality on The Dance Floor’), as well as a medley audio preview highlighting most of the tracks from the album, which is currently in the final stages of production.
The evening also included a Q&A session in which Miel, Andy Wright, producer (pictured to the left of Miel), and Morten Schjolin, videographer (pictured to the right of Miel), discussed the deeply personal inspirations behind each song's lyrics and composition, the ideation of the music videos, and the journey of creating ‘Loved Ones’.
Dubbed a "celebration of love in its many forms" by the artist, the preview exemplified the overarching theme of 'Loved Ones' - crafting a love letter to the special people and bonds that have profoundly impacted Miel's life and artistry.
The Making of ‘Hit Song’

One of the most exciting aspects of Miel de Botton's album rollout is the creation of the music video for "Hit Song." This video promises to be a visual masterpiece, delving into Miel's personal journey from aspiring young talent to the accomplished artist she is today. Behind-the-scenes footage and teasers have left fans eagerly anticipating the video's release, although an official date has yet to be announced in coordination with the album release.

In the music video for "Hit Song," viewers will witness Miel's evolution as she navigates the highs and lows of pursuing her dreams. Miel takes on multiple roles in the video, portraying characters such as a fruit seller and a fortune teller, symbolising the various key moments in her life that have led her to where she is today.
To bring her vision to life, Miel enlisted the help of a talented team, including professional dancers who added an extra layer of spectacle to the production. Behind the scenes, meticulous attention to detail was evident as hair and makeup artists worked tirelessly to transform Miel and her cast into their respective characters. The result is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant music video that will captivate audiences.

Speaking about the concept behind "Loved Ones" and the music video for "Hit Song," Miel de Botton expressed her excitement about sharing her journey with her fans. Miel explained, “This song is about the extreme vulnerability of expressing one’s dreams, and it was just wonderful to see my whole life played out by loved ones around me”.
The Story and Making of Immortality On the Dance Floor

One of the standout tracks on 'Loved Ones' is the euphoric dance anthem "Immortality on the Dance Floor," paying tribute to Miel's longtime friend Luiz Paulo and the indelible memories they forged in their youth. The song's club-ready production harkens back to a singular night the duo spent in Ibiza years ago. "We had arrived on the island with the ambitious goal of experiencing the legendary nightlife scene," Miel recounts.
"We discovered this gorgeous little back room behind the heavily pulsating sounds in the main room of the most famous nightclub in Ibiza, and there, we savoured the golden records of our younger days. We instantly and so happily fell into these familiar rhythms and danced the night away, ‘danced back the years’ as the song says; the joy was blissful and invigorating, and we felt immortal."

That ecstatic feeling was the driving force behind the music video for "Immortality on the Dance Floor," which was filmed in Ibiza and starred two modern dance interpreters, Adam Brunyee and Jasmine Chan.
"The visual narrative follows these kindred spirits who find one another through the invisible help of angelic forces," explains Miel. "It's a celebration of how music can unite souls separated by any perceived differences. Just as Luiz and I forged an unbreakable bond on that dance floor so many years ago, wholly immersed in that cosmic moment of bliss."

As anticipation continues to build for the release of "Loved Ones" and the standalone singles, fans can expect a profoundly sincere and uplifting experience that celebrates the power of love, friendship, and pursuing one's passions.
