Miel Dazzles at her Album Showcase

On Thursday 10th July, members of the press and specially invited guests gathered at the Criterion Restaurant in Piccadilly to hear Miel and her band showcase the forthcoming album, Magnetic.

The warm sound of conversations and laughter filled the glittering Criterion whilst guests anticipated the arrival of Miel to the stage.

The house lights dimmed and the stage lit up as Miel appeared in her turquoise dress, a subtle nod to the reference in the title song, Magnetic.  After a wholehearted introduction from Daniel Lycett, Miel dazzled the audience with songs from her forthcoming album including ‘Magnetic’ and  ‘Vivement la joie’ .

Miel took the time to tell guests the stories behind each song, whether self-penned or interpretations of the French classics. Both sultry and sweet, Miel demonstrated her range taking us from ‘Beautiful You’, the first song that Miel wrote, with its candied notes and to the dark and mysterious ‘Bad Men’, her first single, which is due for release in September.

Following ‘Ferme les yeux’ (a well-crafted French version of ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’), she closed the show with the striking ‘Magnetic’. Miel joined the audience to celebrate a spectacular showcase of what is to come.

Guests were given a glimpse of the eagerly anticipated Bad Men video, filmed in Almeria on the set of the old Spaghetti Western movies. The video is due for release at the end of July.
