Along with the distant rumble of engines and melodies floating through the air, there was palpable excitement at CarFest South over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The family festival, held at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire on 26th -28th August, is an intoxicating mix of headline music acts, car shows and activities.
“CarFest is such a unique experience – having visited with my children three years running, it was such a joy to be a part of something that I’ve enjoyed with my family. Knowing that the festival raises funds for BBC Children in Need makes it even more special”
Despite the overcast weather on the Saturday, there was pure joy and warmth radiating from the WigWam Stage during Miel’s live performance. The WigWam tent was bustling with people whilst Miel and her band performed their set which included 'La Java Bleue', 'Dazzle Me Diamond', 'Vivement La Joie', 'Beautiful You', 'Bad Men', 'Non,Je Ne Regrette Rien', 'Magnetic' and 'Come on Baby'. All except 'La Java Bleue' and 'Non,Je Ne Regrette Rien' were songs written by Miel.
The audience relaxed on hay bales with their special #ShowYourLove roses which were shared before and during the performance. With so many people there, you really could feel the love!
Thanks go to her talented band who have shared the summer’s festival experiences with Miel – Sam Swallow, Daniel Weston, Mark Jaimes, Gareth Huw Davies, Hayley Sanderson and Tim Sentence.
