Yolande: An Unsung Heroine

  • 17th March 2016

Miel is delighted that the documentary of her grandmother’s fascinating life has now received two sellout screenings in London. The latest showing at the JW3 this week also hosted a lively Q&A session afterwards with Miel, who produced the film.

The film is the true story of Yolande Gabai (de Botton), a beautiful, sophisticated Jewess from Alexandria who risked her son’s life and her own, collecting intelligence in Egypt using the cover of a reporter for the Palestine Post. A woman who loved Egypt and the Arab world, yet fought for the creation of an independent State of Israel.

If you would like to receive a copy of the documentary please email [email protected] – we have a limited stock so order while you can!

The DVD costs £10 plus p&p.
